Shaun Laubis (born 12th Oct) is an Alumni Member of Beta Iota Chapter (Chapter roll 448) at The Ohio State University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Shaun Laubis decided to attend The Ohio State University at Lima for Pre-Aviation Management through the college of business after graduating from Ada Exempted Village High School, Ada Ohio, in 2009 He moved to the Columbus campus his sophomore year living in Dracket Tower. During his sophomore year in 2010 he started working for The Ohio State University's Campus Area Bus Service, or CABS. At this same time he attended a Fall quarter Phi Sigma Pi pre-rush event. The rush event focused on the social leg of the tripod and was mostly improv games. Shaun made his first impression on the Chapter as a fun loving future Brother by impersonating the Kool Aid Man during one of the improv games.

Collegiate Years at Beta Iota Chapter

Shaun Laubis held many positions within the Chapter. In his Alpha Lambda Initiate Class he was the Service Chair in Winter 2011. For the Chapter he was Treasurer in Fall 2011, Co-Fundraising Chair with Christy White, also of the Alpha Lambda Initiate Class, in 2012-13, Vice President Spring Semester 2013, and President 2013-14. He also attended National Convention in 2011 and 2013.

Within the Chapter Shaun won the Fellowship award 4 times as a Brother and once as an Initiate. He was known for making time for any Brother who needed a ride, a laugh, or just a listening ear. Other notable awards were Brother of the Semester / Quarter twice, and Best Leadership three times.

Alumni Years to Present

As an Alumni Shaun stayed in contact with Chapter leadership, Brothers, and Alumni continuing to offer a helping hand when he could. He will forever feel in debt to the great organization that is the Beta Iota Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity. He attended Founders Day in 2015.

Shaun's Big Brother is Kevin Neilon, who is now a fellow Alumni of the Fisher College of Business working in the finance industry.
