Jonah, I might agree with your change to make the link [[Grand Chapter Convention]], but you're wrong on the grammar.  ''Brother'' is the subject, and subject-verb agreement dictates "Brother was..."  ''Brothers Are We'' is an apositive for the noun ''song'' which is an object of the preposition ''along'' in the prepositional phrase "along with the previously adpoted song Brothers Are We".  So the subject is not compound, thus the singular form of the verb is required. I did miss a comma, though. [[User:FreshBoy|FreshBoy]] 13:50, 23 March 2007 (EDT)

Jonah, I might agree with your change to Grand Chapter Convention, but you're wrong on the grammar. Brother is the subject, and subject-verb agreement dictates "Brother was..." Brothers Are We is an apositive for the noun song which is an object of the preposition along in the prepositional phrase "along with the previously adpoted song Brothers Are We". So the subject is not compound, thus the singular form of the verb is required. I did miss a comma, though. FreshBoy 13:50, 23 March 2007 (EDT)
