Page Description

I'm probably just out of the loop, but what is the overall purpose of this page on the wiki? Is it a place to log feedback for the national website? Maybe I'm missing something obvious at the moment but I'm not sure what the CT in the page title stands for.

I believe the CT stands for Communication and Technology, one of the national standing committees which is reviewing the current national website for suggested changes in a future redesign. (Jonah 13:36, 31 May 2007 (EDT))
Got it. This might be more easily found on the talk page from a National Website page. If the purpose is for people to come here to add additional feedback, I'm not sure the current title is an intuitive title they would search for. The reason I say put it on a talk page is that this doesn't seem really encyclopedic in nature, which is my understanding of the purpose of the wiki. I don't really envision a need to keep historical records of ideas/feedback for the national website, but that's just my opinion and I realize this website is for the masses. To me, this makes more sense to be a topic in the brotherhood forums, but maybe those aren't really being used anymore? Pmgingrich 14:41, 1 June 2007 (EDT)
The Comm/Tech committee needed to rapidly piece together some recommendations for the PSP website. We figured we'd use the already existing wiki. We may clean this up later, or we may delete it once the need is gone. I didn't link it from any other pages for that reason. Chrisamiller 17:29, 2 June 2007 (EDT)

Questions for feedback

  • Electronic voting - Are we talking about polls online, voting via cellphone and what issues would we be voting on?
  • Chapter DB tool - For searching for elected and non-elected leaders/Brothers or a resource (samples, examples, etc.) tool? Both?
  • Unique logins for every brother. - currently in place, just not advertised well. In the Brothers Only section there is a place to log in as an individual Brother, demographic info can be updated, as well as search for alumni by chapter, zip, etc.
  • Rejuvenate the message board. - I like the idea. Advice on how to reach beyond what is currently being done via the VT listserv would be great. But too, thought that the wiki would be managing some of the ideas as well.
  • Mobile phones may not have flash installed. - Are there status on the usage of mobile phone web site searches? And a breakdown of age groups would be better. This is a discussion point with the vendor currently.
  • The word 'wiki' should not be capitalized - While not a technophobe, I do find myself continuously learning. Feel free to share insight with the staff when such glaring issues/typos occur... we won't bite - promise!
