I can't figure out a reasonable way to format this page. I have several other similar pages in the works, so any help or ideas would be appreciated. {Duff 21:27, 22 March 2007 (EDT)}

I'll work on some formatting. But i think this page should really be called "Handling a Main Motion," since technically there are motions that do not require a second, and they may be handled differently. Point of Order is an example of a motion that requires no second and is handled strictly by the Chair. But main motions are always handled according to this process (barring, of course, interruption by other motions). I also think that the entire process of handling the main motion should be outlined here, not just the parts up to ending debate. FreshBoy 22:04, 22 March 2007 (EDT)
I'm gonna try to throw up a few pages so that you can see what I was doing. I think for the most part, this should be as basic as possible so it's a resource for brothers who aren't familiar with parli pro{Duff 00:30, 23 March 2007 (EDT)}
