40-Motion #55 "That we strike from the Fraternal Governance Document the National Membership Exam section, page 12, 'National Membership Exam. All initiates are required to take an exam that evaluates their knowledge of the National Fraternity's history prior to formal induction into Phi Sigma Pi. The exam is based upon the material covered in The Scholar's Province. The chapter is free to write its own exam, modeled after the National Membership Exam, or to use the one supplied by the National Headquarters'." (Beedenbender/Brown Motion passed 7-0-0) (The National Membership Exam is referenced in the National Constitution in Article IV, Section 10.B.7.)

40-Motion #53 "That Council/Staff rooms, food and travel expenses be removed from the Grand Chapter 2003 budget and placed in the general travel line item in the budget." (Beedenbender/Brown Motion passed 7-0-0) (The expenses will be shared across the entire fraternity rather than among the Grand Chapter attendees.) Note this motion is numbered #53 in the National Council minutes, however it likely should be #56. It appears this is a formatting mistake.

40-Motion #57 "That we set the Grand Chapter 2003 fee at $225 and at $255 for late registration." (Volturo/Kniess Motion passed 5-2-0 Rosengrant and Mleziva dissented)

40-Motion #58 "That incidental money the fraternity accumulates through Grand Chapter goes toward the purchase of a database." (Buchanan/Beedenbender Motion passed 6-0-1 Mleziva abstained)

40-Motion #59 "That we allocate the necessary funds from the fiscal 2003 budget for the purchase of a server." (Buchanan/Beedenbender Motion passed 7-0-0)
