Tau Sigma Sigma

From PhiSigmaPiWiki

Tau Sigma Sigma started as a social/service fraternity at East Carolina University in 1935, making it the first true fraternal organization at ECU. The Chapter was founded by Dr. Beecher Flanagan. In 1936, the Chapter became Tau Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi under the direction of then President Bruce Simmons and Dr. Flanagan. It was pure coincidence that Tau Chapter kept part of the original name. Simon S. Shearer of the Omicron Chapter, the National President at the time, personally came down to assist with the installation of Tau Chapter.
