Inspired by Rube Goldberg’s intricately complex creations that carry out simple tasks, Phi Sigma Pi (ΔΑ) set out to make a machine of their own, one that would involve the most complicated way to take a picture.

The purpose of the event was two-fold, not only to entertain but to benefit a cause. Phi Sigma Pi (ΒΝ) donated the proceeds to its national philanthropy, Teach for America. TFA’s Cornell Campus Campaign Coordinator Stephanie Wickham ’08 said, “Teach for America is really thankful that PSP put on this event, especially because it is an event targeted towards freshman and we are looking to get freshmen involved [in TFA].”

Finding a tradition in Relay for Life (Technicianonline.com - 14 April 08)
Adam Berry (ΒΔ) stayed at Lee Field for more than 16 hours -- six of which were spent walking around the field to keep his team, Phi Sigma Pi, eligible to complete the Relay. Besides the "obvious benefit for cancer research," Berry said the 16 hours allowed him time to get to know other people in his fraternity.

Phi Sigma Pi (ΒΦ) will be collecting plastic bags to recycle and there will also be a very important ribbon cutting ceremony for the new recycling bin by SGA.

Fraternity aims to boost awareness of AIDS epidemic (DailyTargum.com - 8 April 08)
"It's an epidemic that people have year-round, not just once a year," said Phi Sigma Pi Vice President Ramona Perry (ΑΘ), a Douglass College junior. "That is part of the reason we are holding AIDS Awareness Week in the spring rather than during the time it is usually celebrated."
