Strong self-confidence, a successful workout program and top-notch Irish dancing skills helped Arlington resident and Washington-Lee High School graduate Caitlin Uze (ΒΡ) best 29 competitors to win the Miss Virginia 2010 pageant June 26 in Roanoke. This spring, Uze was Relay for Life captain for Phi Sigma Pi, a coed national honors fraternity.

Co-ed honors fraternity raises money for Habitat for Humanity (The Standard Online - 4 May 2010)
Phi Sigma Pi, a co-ed national honor fraternity, raised more than $200 from April 30 through April 31 for Habitat for Humanity during their annual event, Sleep Out for the Homeless. "Sleep Out for the Homeless was a great success this year," said Brittany Norton (ΓΣ), the fraternity's service chair. "We raised a total of $210.26. This beat last year's contribution of $182.18."

A bit of Harry Potter raises money for School District (DailyIowan.com - 3 May 2010)
At a Phi Sigma Pi fundraiser, Rachel Dudley (ΕΣ) found herself bolting across a Quidditch pitch pursued by broom-wielding Seekers. In addition to making a young-adult fiction fantasy come true, the group helped raise $550 to buy books for Iowa City School District schools.

New Co-Ed National Honor Fraternity Colonizes CSU (CSU Cauldron - 3 May 2010)
Phi Sigma Pi (ΖΓ) colonized Cleveland State University on April 21. Fraternity members celebrated their colonization by planting a tree on Earth Day between the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and the Nance College of Business. Starting a CSU chapter of Phi Sigma Phi took over eight weeks, says chapter president Holly Jackson. During this time, founding members worked to memorize the greek alphabet and to learn the history, mission, and ideals of Phi Sigma Pi.

Disease fails to bring down curtain on theater major (cincinnati.com - 28 April 2010)
If people want to put Caitlin Brown (ΕΡ) in a category, make it a high-achieving one. She graduated with honors from Oak Hills High School in 2006. She's a theater major at Northern Kentucky University, where last semester she joined a co-ed honors fraternity, Phi Sigma Pi. She's also an ardent advocate for SMA causes. On Saturday, she and her family, friends and fraternity members will gather at Xavier University's Cintas Center for the seventh annual Walk-n-Roll to Cure SMA, organized by the support group Families with SMA.

UCF Teams Raise $77k to Fight Cancer (UCF Today - 27 April 2010)
UCF students, faculty and staff raised nearly $77,000 during this year’s Relay for Life to fund cancer research. More than 75 teams participated in the annual event, held April 16 on Memory Mall. Topping the list with the most funds raised were Uknighted for a Cure; Phi Sigma Pi (ΓΧ); the Center for Distributed Learning; UCF Finance and Accounting; and Strategy, Marketing, Communications and Admissions.
