Theta Chapter Past Membership Project

The Theta Chapter Past Membership Project is a task to rebuild the Membership list of the Theta Chapter based on archived Carontawans, Mansfield University's yearbook. This is part of the wiki Projects list.

Directions

The Internet Archive, archive.org, has many of the university's yearbooks online in both TXT and PDF format. By searching for the phrase Carontawan 1954 [Yearbook] (and replacing the year) you will find a link to that year's Carontawan, see: http://www.archive.org/details/carontawan1954ye00mans. Select the full text link on the left to get a searchable text listing which will allow you to copy and paste many names. Some of the formatting is poor so you may also want to cross reference this with the PDF file to see how the names and their offices appear on the fraternity's page. Some years listed below may not have an archived yearbook. After you have selected a year and have found Members go to the List of Theta Chapter Initiate Classes and add a section for that year under the heading Pre-19XX where 19XX is the year of the yearbook. This will indicate that these Members were inducted at some point prior to this year. Here is an example;
