Travis Knapp is a brother of (Chapter roll #43) at Saint Joseph's University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Travis enrolled at Saint Joseph's University in the Fall of 2010 after graduating from Mills E Godwin High School in Richmond, Virginia. Travis became very involved in the campus having joined Magis (Freshman Service group), chapel choir, intramural sports teams, SUB (Student Organization Board),APEX, and several others. Some of these organizations were not what Travis was looking for. He first became aware of Phi Sigma Pi when several of his friends founded the chapter and continued to talk about it. Travis decided he wanted to rush and was the first one to sign up at the Fall Activities fair. Travis rushed Phi Sigma Pi in the Fall of 2011 and he is a Alpha member of the Zeta Iota Chapter.

Collegiate Years at Zeta Iota

As soon as Travis was inducted, he had to go inactive because of a CO-OP that was located in Montvale, New Jersey. Even though Travis was over a two hour drive during this time, he managed to go to several chapter meetings, and actually more events than most brothers. He became very involved in the chapter even though of the distance. He helped create the senior gifts and helped consul brothers when things were going bad. After the spring semester, Travis had to go inactive again as he was accepted into a study abroad program in Australia for the upcoming semester. Travis continued to stay informed during this time by reading all the weekly email and minutes. During this time, Travis decided to run for the Eboard position of Historian. His decision to run was based on what he saw his big, Nick Conway, did. Travis enjoyed taking photos and creating presentations. Travis was surprisingly elected even though he had never been an active brother for a year. As historian, Travis introduced several new things. He created Family of the Month, Brother Spotlight (weekly presentation highlighting a brother so the chapter can get to know them), scrapbooking event, history quizzo event, founder's day celebration, history jeopardy, Real Zeta Iota News (short film highlighting the past month in Zeta Iota), senior celebration dinner, semester review video (photo slideshow of the semester) and several other things. Travis is also responsible for compiling the first 3 years of the history of the chapter into the Zeta Iota History book. This book contains information on every event, brother, and position. Travis then transferred this information and created the foundation of the Zeta Iota wiki page. Travis also created three rush videos that were helpful in recruiting new members. Travis was also instrumental in working with Joe Lacitignola in putting the family trees on the website.
