Tyler George (born 03 Apr 1992) is an Collegiate Member of Epsilon Eta (EH 71) at Eastern Kentucky University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Tyler began his post secondary career straight out of high school in the Fall semester of 2010. He was very interested in attending Eastern Kentucky University because of their education program. When Tyler first applied to Eastern, his career choice was to become a Foreign Language instructor of Spanish as well as French at either the high school or college level. He entered into Eastern Kentucky University as double major of Spanish and French with a focus on education. After just one semester of coursework, Tyler began looking into other fields that he was interested in. After helping a friend with an Economics paper in the Fall of 2010, he realized that his knowledge in the field of Economics had stuck with him since he took an Economics class in high school. As a result, Tyler added Economics as a major and decided to make French his minor. At this point, he had decided to no longer pursue a career in the education field. Eventually, he lost his interest in the French language altogether and dropped it. While taking coursework for his economics degree, Tyler took an introductory Statistics course in Fall 2012. After taking this class, Tyler developed an strong interest in the field and decided to add it as a minor. As fate would have it, in Spring 2014, he decided to change his major completely to Statistics and changed Economics and Spanish to minors, as well as adding on Mathematics and Actuarial Science as minors.

In the Fall of 2012, Tyler received and email invitation to rush Phi Sigma Pi. Tyler had been interested in joining the chapter prior to this particular invitation, but his schedule did not allow him to do so at the time. A few other personal issues kept him from joining the Chapter prior to that Fall semester as well. Nonetheless, Tyler did pursue this opportunity and met great people along the way. By joining the Chapter Tyler hoped to fulfill his goals of becoming a well rounded individual and to continue to build strong relationships in hopes of making lifelong friends. Tyler was initiated into the Xi Class on September 7th, 2012 and was inducted into the chapter on November 17th, 2012 after passing the National Exam. Tyler was one of five new Brothers inducted into the chapter on that day.
