Early Fraternity Life and Career
During Valerie's fourth semester, spring 2007, at Louisiana State University, she got an email saying her GPA qualified her to join Phi Sigma Pi. This was the second time she had been invited, and decided to go out of her comfort zone and away from her close group of friends from freshmen year. She went to the information night, alone, to check it out and recognized an old study buddy from a year before, Ana deAlvare, and an old neighbor from Herget Hall, Kelly Rau, and figured it must be pretty freaking awesome. So she went to the first Shoot the Shiznit... She remembers vividly sitting with two other rushees and two brothers: Ronak Shah and Michael Parent talking about the tripod. And that's how it began.
Collegiate Years at Gamma Theta Chapter
Organized the CPR service event on February 9th, 2008. Was elected Historian at the end of the spring semester, which is the position she currently holds.
National Involvement
Because of the time commitments of Valerie's RA job, she has regretfully not been able to make any National Events.
Bigs and Littles
Valerie's Big Brother is Katy Flockton, who is now the Corresponding Secretary of the Gamma Theta chapter.
Valerie has no Little Brothers: As of now....still trying to get one.
