Vice President of Philanthropy Development

The Vice President of Philanthropy Development (VP Phil) was created at the 2009 Grand Chapter Conference in Louisville, KY as a new National Council position. The Vice President of Philanthropy Development will primarily be responsible for leading and developing our national philanthropic efforts with our National Philanthropy, Teach For America. This position was removed in 2018 when the National Council added three Vice President of Development offices.
Duties
The Vice President of Philanthropy Development shall:
- Ensure all information pertaining to initiatives related to the National Philanthropy are disseminated to Collegiate and Alumni Chapters;
- Assist Collegiate Chapters in the area of philanthropy development;
- Develop and evaluate National Philanthropy related initiatives;
- Serve as the official liaison between the National Council and the National Philanthropy;
- Develop projects to educate members and chapters about the National Philanthropy;
- Encourage participation of Collegiate and Alumni Chapters within the National Philanthropy; and,
- Serve as the national leader on philanthropy development.
