Entering sophomore year, Emily was looking for an organization to meet new people that served a purpose. After passing by the Phi Sigma Pi table set up in the Student Commons, Emily spoke to [[Shannon Sullivan]], who introduced Emily to everything that Phi Sigma Pi stood for nationally, as well as what the Alpha Sigma Chapter did in its role. After hearing a thorough summary of all of the great things Phi Sigma Pi stood for, Emily rushed in Spring 2007. After completing the Initiation period with several other amazing people that comprised the Sigma class, Emily was inducted April 22, 2007.
