Chapter History
Founding
On the 27th of April, 2007 the Epsilon Kappa chapter first established itself.
Early Years
With purpose and determination, Epsilon Kappa began making a name for itself on campus. The chapter, over the course of only one year, managed to nearly double itself in size. Motivated by the strong leadership of first President Sean Garrity and Vice President Adam Palmer, Epsilon Kappa continued to collect the top students at Wetnworth Institute of Technology.

Founder's Day
Epsilon Kappa has yet to establish a unique tradition to celebrate its Founder's Day.
MS Walk
The chapter completed its first walk for Multiple Sclerosis in the Spring semester of 2008. With over 75% of the active brothers (of the time) participating, and raising over $3100.00, the event was quite a success. The Service Committee chair responsible for the event had this to say:
"...this event was very successful. ...14 brothers collected $100.00 or more. ...Everyone was excited for this walk and enjoyed themselves. This event require teamwork and trust that everyone would pull their own weight to meet our $3000.00 goal set for our team. When we arrive at the walk to check-in and register, the volunteers from National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) knew of us because of the amount we had raised, and they were thrilled to have us. This made us very proud to be part of a group that was able to help such a great cause."
The chapter intends to make this an annual event, establishing itself as contributing member of the community.
Camp Sunshine Pumpkin Festival
This event brought the brothers together in support of 'Camp Sunshine', an organization that provides a retreat for children with life threatening illnesses. Camp Sunshine hosts an annual Pumpkin Festival at Boston City Hall. This festival consists of a series of activities designed to entertain families, including games, food, and pumpkin carving. The brothers assisted in any way we could. We applied ourselves as general volunteers for the event, as it runs entirely on volunteers, and were placed where we were needed. We aided the event by preparing pumpkins to be carved, collecting donations, entertaining children while they waited in line (i.e. providing stickers), hosting/running game stands provided by Camp Sunshine, and finally lighting pumpkins for the final ceremony. This event was a great success, and the Camp appreciated the chapters participation.
