Early Fraternity Life and Career
I started at Kutztown University in the Fall of 2005 as a Freshman. In the Spring of 2006, I received a letter in my mail box from this thing called Phi Sigma Pi. I was exactly sure what it was, so I decided to go to the Info Night sessions. I was still unsure, so I ended up going to most of the Rush events. I then got inducted as a Brother in the Eta Class of the Epsilon Alpha Chapter in the Spring 2006.
Collegiate Years at Epsilon Alpha Chapter
My first active semester, Fall 2006, Courtney was on the Rush Committee. Then in Spring 2007 and Fall 2007, she was the Recruitment Advisor. While holding this position, Courtney tried to improve Epsilon Alpha's recruitment in several ways. She started the theme idea for rush, increased the PR for our rush, and also helped to create some awesome rush events. Then in the Spring 2008, Courtney was the Historian for Epsilon Alpha and was also on the service committee. As the Historian, she helped to recreate the chapter's computer generated family tree, helped to teach more of the history to the initiate class, started the chapter's Webshots site, and also offered a variety of suggestions for the future historians. In the summer of 2008, Courtney attended her first Grand Chapter/ National Convention in Nashville, TN and absolutely loved it. It taught her the true meaning of Brothers Are We and Brothers for Life. The energy and excitement about Phi Sigma Pi was just AMAZING!
