Early Fraternity Life and Career

I began attending New Mexico State University in fall of 2006. I heard about this honor fraternity from a friend and thought it would be a great organization to be a part of. I rushed Phi Sigma Pi in the fall of 2007. I have been an active Brother since and have enjoyed it very much.

Collegiate Years at Sample Chapter

Her first active semester, spring 2007 in the Delta Iota Chapter, Whitney was elected the Service Committee Chair. She saw it as a challenge, but also an opportunity to see what she was capable of. By the end of the that semester, she was excited to see what other positions she would be able to take on.

Whitney is currently the Initiate Advisor of Delta Iota Chapter. She is also the Co-Chair of the T-Shirt and Pubic Relations Committees and the chair of the Service Committee. These positions keep her busy but she likes all of them. She learns much more about the fraternity that way. She likes being involved in more than one area. She enjoys looking for volunteering opportunities in the city of Las Cruces for her chapter to participate in. It opens her eyes to see how many different ways there are to help out in a community.
