Early Fraternity Life and Career
Luke decided to attend Virginia Commonwealth University after graduating from the Math and Science academy at Ocean Lakes High School. After being involved with the Biomedical Engineering club he decided to mentor a orthopedic surgeon to see how the equipment is used. After that experience he decided that BME was the perfect field for him. Luke knew quite a few of the brothers in Phi Sigma Pi well before he decided to rush, mainly through another organization (Theta Tau). He decided to rush Phi Sigma Pi in the spring of 2008 after being recruited by Molly Farlow and Kristen Fox as well as finding out that Phillip Vaughan was also going to rush.
Collegiate Years at Alpha Sigma
His first and second semester as a Brother (fall 2008 & spring 2009), Luke served as the Brotherhood Committee Chair for Alpha Sigma Chapter. He planned Movie Nights, Cookie Making Parties, Rockband/Cards/Games Nights and Brotherhood Retreats! He also started organizing Brothers to compete in intramurals both semesters as a brother, primarily volleyball.
