10th Annual Giddy-Up
Summary
The Tenth Annual Giddy-Up presented by the Gamma Upsilon Chapter will take place on October 22th-24th, 2010. The theme for this event is "I've fallen off and can't "Giddy Up"." Events will include square dancing, tailgating and watching the races at Keeneland race track, the Thomas E. Daniels Poker Tournament, a and a farewell breakfast. Ryan Epling, Inter-Chapter Relations Chair of the Gamma Upsilon Chapter will direct the event.
Itenerary
- Friday:
5:00-7:00 P.M. - Arrival and Dinner with Host Brothers Other chapter Brothers will arrive at their own timing and we will have them meet up and have dinner with a Gamma Upsilon Host.
7:30-11:00 P.M. - Square Dancing Brothers will learn to square dance and have an A&S event with fun dancing and mingling with host Brothers.
11:00-? P.M. Annual Ted E. Daniels Poker Tournament Finish off the night with a fun game of poker or hang around and mingle with the Brothers and play Wii or other games!
- Saturday:
10:00 A.M. - Tailgating at Keeneland Brothers will meet up at historic Keeneland Race Track for some fun tailgating, food, and cornhole.
~11:30 A.M. - Betting the day away at Keeneland After tailgating we will be heading inside (admission included in Giddy Up registration fees) where we will watch the races, make some bets (hopefully winning a few bucks) and enjoying the company of Brothers.
~1:30 P.M. Afternoon break for cleaning up and lunch
5:00 P.M. - Downtown Scavenger Hunt Brothers will meet and head to downtown Lexington for a fun night for all with finding historic places in downtown. Teams will be made and pictures will be taken to make it a memorable experience.
7:30 P.M. - Dinner in Downtown Lexington Brothers, after finishing the scavenger, will mingle and head into one of the many restaurants in the city!
- Sunday:
10:00 A.M. - Giddy Up Farewell Breakfast Join us for a country-style breakfast at the Cats Den located smack dab in the heart of the Student Center and bid your Brothers farewell before heading back home!
