2009 Grand Chapter Conference

The 2009 Grand Chapter Conference was held on August 6-7 during the 2009 National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. The Grand Chapter considered several broad-reaching amendment proposals to the National Constitution. Of particular note:

• A new National Council position, the Vice President of Philanthropy Development was created.
• Alumni Delegates were granted full voting status at Grand Chapter.
• National Constitution Article IV was reorganized for clarity and consistency and the term Collegiate Member was adopted in lieu of "Active Member".
• The Grand Chapter adopted a resolution to recognize Helen Wilson of Kappa Chapter as the first female honoree, following the discovery of new documentation.
