Amanda Pentecost (born 07/25/1990) is an Collegiate Member of Gamma Xi at Drexel University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Amanda Pentecost (nickname: Mander) attends Drexel University. She is majoring in Materials Science & Engineering and minoring in both Chemistry and Business. She also loves learning about different cultures and is independently studying Russian. She joined Phi Sigma Pi - Gamma Xi in her sophomore year (2009) and is glad to be part of Gamma Xi's first double Greek letters class - Alpha Alpha!

Although she has unfortunately not had time to hold a position within PSP, she does love going to events and tries to help out whenever possible. Before she graduates, she hopes to at least be able to hold a committee position.

  • She is a published author in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
  • She wants to be a professor when she gets older. To reach this goal, she plans to attend graduate school to get her PhD in Biomedical Engineering.
  • She is extremely nerdy, and reads XKCD, Cyanide & Happiness, Left-handed Toons, and Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal every day.
  • She is President of Materials Advantage at Drexel and treasurer of both Drexel Engineers Without Borders and Tau Beta Pi - PA-Z chapter.
  • She loves cooking. She and her brothers Erica Feldscher, Valerie Tutwiler, Nick Favreau, and Anne Rybak get together weekly to make fun dinners and desserts! She is especially known for her maple bacon cupcakes and flavored/filled pancakes.
