Amber Murphy decided to attend Eastern Kentucky University because of its renowned College of Education and its inviting and "small-campus" atmosphere. Amber currently holds the office of Initiate Advisor (Spring 2010).  This is her first semester in this position, but she loves it so far!  She loves teaching the Initiates about Phi Sigma Pi and hopes to get them involved in the Chapter.  Some events that Amber is planning for the Initiates this semester are the semester retreat and Big/Little Olympics.  Amber also holds the position of Alumni Relations Chair, which she has held for three consecutive semesters (Spring 2009, Fall 2009, and Spring 2010).  She loves being in contact with the Alumni.  Some of the events that Amber has coordinated for the Alumni are a Hollywood themed Founder's Day called "The EH List," a football Homecoming tailgate, and an Alumni Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner.

Amber's Big Brother is Alyssa Elder, member of the Delta Class, who is currently still attending EKU. Amber had no idea who to ask to be her Big, but everything has worked out nicely! Alyssa has always been there for advise and going shopping!  Amber has two littles.  Her first Little is Casey Ogden, member of the Eta Class.  Her second Little is Rachel Hepburn, member of the Theta Class.  Amber loves being a Big and has the best Littles ever!
