Brothers Are We is an officially adopted Fraternity Song written by Theta Chapter Members Charles Darrin (music) and Edward Ingraham (lyrics) in 1933. Although previous recorded versions of the song existed, the song was re-recorded, along with the other officially recognized Fraternity Song, Brother, in 2002 and is now available on CD from the National Office. Matt Peachey (Beta Psi), Andy McCarthy (Delta Xi), Beth Sherwood (Gamma Theta) and Jillian Buckner (Alpha Omega) sang on the 2002 re-recording and Jon Chin (Beta Pi) added the instrumental tracks.

The Theta Chapter first presented Brothers Are We at the opening session of the Eastern Regional Conference held March 24-25, 1933, in Indiana, PA. The Theta Chapter persuaded Professor John F. Myers of their college music department to attend the conference to assist in directing the singing until all of the Brothers learned the song.

Lyrics

Bound by the ties of friendship
Bound by the ties of truth
Ideals to show us service
Love and loyalty

For you is service, honor
To keep your standard true
Through all the years together
We pledge our lives to you

Brothers Are We in Phi Sigma Pi
Knowledge the teacher, skill the means of life
Fellowship ever to live or die
Brothers Are We forever, Phi Sigma Pi

Words by Edward Ingraham
Music by Charles Darrin
