Elsie Black (born December 3rd, 1988) is a Collegiate Member of Delta Lambda Chapter at University of Miami.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

After graduating from Ridgewood High School in Ridgewood, NJ, Elsie decided to attend the University of Miami, originally pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience. After exploring the different fields of study avaiable at UM, she will graduate with a B.S. in Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Biology. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, going to the beach, reading, dancing, running, rock climbing, and exploring different religions, cultures, and perspectives. In the Spring of 2009, her sophomore year at the U, Elsie joined the Charter class of the Delta Lambda Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi.

Elsie currently holds the position of President at the Delta Lambda Chapter. She was the organization's first historian, and has also served as vice president of the Chapter.

  • Elsie is the matriarch of the Black Family at the University of Miami. The Black Family lineage includes some of the most passionate and involved Brothers in the Delta Lambda Chapter. 5 of the 7 current members of the Black Family currently hold office in ΔΛ.
  • Elsie is very involved with another organization on the UM campus, the 'Canes Emergency Response Team (CERT)
