Karen's Walk and 5K Run to benefit URMC heart failure research (HenriettaPost.com - March 13, 2013)
The annual walk is organized by the Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity (ΔΑ) at RIT and is held in memory of Karen Decker who died of postpartum cardiomyopathy a few weeks after giving birth to her first child. The Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity has raised more than $26,700 for the Karen Decker Research for Cardiomyopathy Fund at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Lock Haven’s very own, Phi Sigma Pi, will be hosting a grilled cheese dinner in the East Campus Gym to support Teach For America, the fraternity’s alma mater. Veteran fraternity member, Colleen Rakowski (ΒΗ) said, “Last year we had a pancake dinner similar to this that was a great success and we’re really hoping to repeat that so we can raise some money for Teach for America.”
