Kayla enrolled at Truman in Fall of 2006 after graduating from Illinois Valley Central High School in Chilicothe, Illinois. As a freshman she served as secretary of Blanton Nason Brewer Hall Senate. After moving off campus she needed a new organization to join. After recieving a letter from Phi Simga Pi she decided to attend rush in Fall 2008. During rush she met Beta brothers, learned about the tri-pod, and quickly knew that Phi Simga Pi was exactly what she was looking for. As an initiate she organized the class scholarship event. Kayla was inducted as a member of Alpha Alpha class on November 8, 2008.
