Makala Skinner began attending GW in fall 2007. She will be graduating in May 2010 with English Honors. She was inducted as a member of the Alpha Delta class in the spring of 2008.

Makala is originally from Ellsworth, Maine. After she graduates in the spring, she hopes to work for two years before going to graduate school to pursue her master's in publishing. She is obsessed with books, literature, language and words in general. Makala is currently interning at the U.S. Department of Education and she works as a tutor at the George Washington University Writing Center.
