Early Fraternity Life and Career

Jet was an International Baccalaureate student from grades 6 through 12 and graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, Virginia with an IB diploma in 2006. She decided at a young age of 13 to attend Virginia Commonwealth University for the unique Forensic Science major. The summer before freshman year, Jet began to look for organizations at VCU that would allow her to continue the creativity, action and service (CAS) activities she had dedicated herself to through the IB curriculum. When she arrived on campus, several friends were Phi Sigma Pi Brothers. Upon meeting the rest of the amazing Brotherhood, she decided to join Alpha Sigma Chapter her second semester freshman year, Spring 2007. Jet was a member of the Sigma Initiate Class, served as Service Chair, and organized an event with CARITAS (Congregations Around Richmond Involved To Assure Shelter) where the entire Initiate class bought, prepared and served 40 working homeless men for 3 days for under $150!

Collegiate Years at Alpha Sigma Chapter

Once a Brother, Jet immediately volunteered to be Service Chair for the Chapter. She conducted several events throughout the semester, the most successful of which was the Stockings for Soldiers drive, which won the C.H. McClure Single Service Award for 2008. Having a large portion of Alpha Sigma Brothers who are descended from affiliated with military service members, Jet saw the drive as a way bring the Brother together and reach out to the global community.

The next semester (Spring 2008), the current Initiate Advisor had to step down to deal with personal issues and Jet stepped up to fill the role. She revamped the Initiation Program and fearlessly lead the Upsilon class to Brotherhood! In Fall 2008, she filled a vacancy as Fundraising Chair and set up a very profitable relationship with King's Dominion theme park. For the 2008-2009 academic year, Jet was the President of the Alpha Sigma Chapter.
