Event Summary: The Megan Concert is held by the Beta Rho chapter in memory of Megan Stidham. The concert raises money for an endowed scholarship in her name at James Madison University. The scholarship is presented to one Beta Rho Brother and one member of the student body. In 2006 the scholarship became fully endowed. In addition the scholarship the event raised money for The Megan Memorial which was started to raise money to go towards placing a memorial on campus in her name.

The concert performers included several campus musical groups, including a couple that chapter members are a part of. The entrance fee was $3 and allowed the chapter to raise $470. During the show we also held a raffle. The Spirit Committee went around to local businesses asking for donations and prizes to raffle off and they were more than willing to donate. We collected over $200 in raffle ticket prizes and the tickets were sold 2 for $1 with all the proceeds going towards our chapter philanthropy, M.S. This tied the Megan Concert together with the rest of the chapter's philanthropy related events during a week long event called Phi Sigma Pi ‘MadnesS.’
