Early Fraternity Life and Career
Pete enrolled at Virginia Tech in Fall 2003 after graduating from James River High School in Midlothian, Virginia. As a sophomore, she rushed Phi Sigma Pi in Fall 2004. Meredith received a bid, and after a successful Initiation period, she was Inducted into the Chapter with the Alpha Beta Initiate Class in November 2004.
Collegiate Years at Alpha Rho Chapter
Meredith was active during her time as an undergraduate, serving on Alpha Rho's Executive Board for two years. Her junior year, Meredith was the Chapter's Historian, and during her senior year, Meredith succeeded her Big Brother Anndy Sanders in the role of Alumni Development Chair.
Outside of Phi Sigma Pi, Meredith's love of music led her to join Sensations, Virginia Tech's female a cappella group. The group was formed during Meredith's first semester of college and she was heavily involved until graduation, arranging several songs, singing solos, and serving as President of the group during her senior year.
