William "Morgan" Lupton (born 9 July 1990) is an Active Member of Epsilon Theta Chapter (Chapter roll 65) at Georgia Institute of Technology.

Early Fraternity Life

Morgan decided to attend Georgia Tech because of the overall value of the education. His major, Industrial and Systems Engineering with a focus on Supply Chain Engineering, was chosen because he always wanted to be involved with the efficient distribution of goods and service. In addition, the Industrial and Systems School is consistently ranked number one in the nation for the major.

Morgan rushed Phi Sigma Pi in the Spring of 2009 in his second semester as an undergraduate. He didn't see himself fit in other on-campus organizations and believed that Phi Sigma Pi held the perfect balance of leadership opportunities and developing close bonds with other fellow students. He joined the Initiate Scholarship committee which hosted a pot luck dinner as its event. Brothers learned how to make each others favorite recipes and had delightful fellowship.

Initiate Advisor Role

Morgan held the role of Initiate Advisor for the Spring 2010 and Fall 2010 semesters. These two semesters saw some of the largest increases in membership since the charter class. During the Fall 2010 semester, the Induction ceremony was changed to be held during retreat. This is to bring a closer bond during the Induction ceremony compared to being held on campus.

Later Semesters

Towards the end of Fall 2010, Morgan began to search for a co-operative position (a rotating internship). He had previously already turned down a job offer to Norfolk Southern in Fall 2009 since he believed it to be more worthwhile at the time to serve in the fraternity instead of accept a job offer.

Morgan accepted a co-op position at Georgia Transmission Corporation to begin work for Spring 2011. He worked as a Project Control Specialist intern helping manage costs and schedules for construction of power lines and substations. The position is structured so a semester of work is alternated with a semester of school. He remained active as a Brother while he worked, only missing events that occur during work hours. After the completion of the Co-Operative Work Program in Summer 2012, Morgan extended out his graduation date to make more time for his more rigorous classes. He remains involved in the Fraternity as a member of the Bylaws Committee. Expected graduation date is May 2013 with an emphasis to remain in Atlanta to stay near friends and remain active in the Chapter.
