Socrates Alexander Tiglao (born November 7, 1983) is an Alumni Member of Alpha Xi at Radford University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Socrates transferred to Radford University in Fall 2002 after spending a year at Marymount University in Arlington, VA. In Fall 2004, he decided to rush Phi Sigma Pi after he received an invitation to from his on campus mailbox. After successfully receiving a bid, he was inducted into the Alpha Beta pledge class and served as Historian for the Alpha Betas for the initiate period.

Collegiate Years at Alpha Xi Chapter

Socrates served as Historian along with Becky Rust during the 2005-2006 school year.

Alumni Years to Present

Socrates graduated with a B.F.A. in Art from Radford University in Spring 2006. The following Fall, he attended graduate school at Marymount University studying interior design for one semester. Since September 2007, Socrates has been employed at the [National Gallery of Art, Washington]. As of Spring 2009, he has re-enrolled at Marymount University to complete his graduate degree and is expected to graduate in May 2013.

National Involvement

Socrates has not been involved nationally with Phi Sigma Pi, but continues to keep up to date with his chapter.

Socrates's Big Brother is Emily Arthur from the Psi pledge class, who is currently living in Chicago, IL as a lawyer.

Alpha Phi Omega

After successfully being initiated into Phi Sigma Pi, Socrates successfully rushed and was initiated into [Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity] in Spring 2005. While being a Historian of Phi Sigma Pi during the 2005-2006 school year, he was also the Chapter Secretary for Alpha Phi Omega. He took on three little brothers during his time at Alpha Phi Omega and was awarded a Distinguished Service Key and Genesis Award shortly before graduating.
