Life and Career

Will was a resident of Joplin, Missouri the site of an EF-5 tornado on May 22, 2011 that devastated much of the region. After his graduation from Joplin High School on May 22, Will was driving home with his father when they were caught in the tornado. Will did not survive.

Will's family and story connected with Members of the Beta Phi Chapter who have traveled to Joplin several times to help with the recovery and relief efforts. David Serafini, who was responsible for organizing the first trip to Joplin, is also noted as approaching the Chapter about ways to honor the life of Norton.
