- The Outstanding Chapter Award was renamed to Joseph Torchia Outstanding Chapter Award.
- Beta Gamma Chapter at the Farmington State College purchases a three-story house large enough to accommodate 35 Brothers. The house, located on Court Street, is extremely impressive and the largest piece of real estate owned by any Phi Sigma Pi entity. It would be sold in 1977 when the fraternity went coeducational.
