Delta Iota Chapter
Delta Iota Chapter (Founded 2 December 1999) is located at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Chapter was founded by Chapter alumnus Name and is a member of the Southwest Region.

Founding
On December 2, 1999, Delta Iota Chapter at the New Mexico State University was founded.
Early Years

Adversity
In the school year 2005-2006, Delta Iota chapter was confronted with unexpected problems. Many brothers that went locally inactive for Fall 2005 decided not to return to PSP in the Spring. With graduation and the inactives permanently leaving Phi Sigma Pi, the chapter was down to 12 brothers. The rush for the semester was very difficult as there were only 2 initiates. Both ended up dropping the initiate program, leaving Delta Iota with no new brothers for Spring 2006. With graduation, the chapter was down to nine members and with many internal problems, things were looking very bleak for the chapter.

The Active Chapter
In recent years, the size of the Chapter has generally fluctuated between 10 and 25 Brothers each semester. Delta Iota Brothers are very active within Phi Sigma Pi as well as other organizations on-campus, ranging from honor societies to social fraternities/sororities to academic department organizations to College Councils.
Delta Iota carries out multiple events each semester. These activities include but are not limited to:
- Scholarship nights and road trips
- Semesterly Brotherhood Retreat (Brothers In Bonding)
- Intramural sports
- Annual Halloween Party
- Tailgates for home football games
- Participation in other student organization philanthropic events and competitions
- The Universities Big Event
Executive Board
The Chapter currently has a nine member Executive Board. Officers are elected each spring to serve the following academic year. The composition and size of Delta Iota's Executive Board has continually evolved as the Chapter has matured. Unwilling to settle for the status quo, the Chapter has added officer positions and shifted responsibilities to meet new challenges.
