Elizabeth Meere (born May 2, 1985) is an Collegiate Member/Alumni Member of Beta Iota (Chapter roll #255) at The Ohio State University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Elizabeth Meere was born in Warren, Ohio and lived there until graduating from John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in 2003. She decided to attend The Ohio State University the very first time she came to visit campus during her senior year of high school. She liked that it was one of the largest universities in the country and still close to her hometown.

After starting at OSU the Fall of 2003, she became friends with Victoria Steinbach because they lived in the same suite on the 23rd floor of Morrill Tower. Fall of 2004, Liz convinced Tori to come to a Phi Sigma Pi rush info night with her. The two decided to rush Beta Iota together.

While rushing Beta Iota, the chapter hosted a Halloween party as a rush event; Liz and Victoria Steinbach decided they would dress up as dice. The two labored all afternoon make amazing costumes out of old boxes, white computer paper, and black sharpie markers. Wearng their dice costumes, the two started to walk across campus from Morrill Tower to the Student Union. Along the way the got stuck in an extremely large crowd on campus to see John Kerry speak at a campaign rally for the 2004 Presidential election. When Liz and Tori finally got to the Student Union, the Halloween party was over. The current co-rush chair, Zac Holmes (BI 242), was there cleaning up the party. He was the only one who got to see their awesome costumes.

Collegiate Years at Beta Iota

Liz was inducted into the Beta Iota Chapter with the Psi Class on March 11, 2005.

• 2005-2006: Recruitment Co-Chair with Victoria Steinbach

-Rush Chair for the Alpha Alpha Class

• 2005-2006: Initiation Co-Advisor with Victoria Steinbach

-Initiate Advisor for the Alpha Alpha Class

-Initiate Advisor for the Alpha Beta Class

• 2006-2007: Technology Consultant

Liz graduated from OSU on March 18, 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Alumni Years to Present

After graduating from The Ohio State University, Liz began working full-time in various accounting/business related positions. Currently, she works for the State of Ohio as an Internal Auditor and is working on an MBA at Capital University.

In 2009 she got involved with Columbus Area Alumni Association. At that time Mbabndah Ndobegang and Becky Leach were working to get the group started.
