GoodSearch
GoodSearch is an ad-supported Internet search engine powered by Yahoo! which shares profits with charitable causes. Along with GoodShop, it is one of the "Other People's Money" (OPM) fundraising methods employed by Phi Sigma Pi.
How GoodSearch Works
GoodSearch works like most Internet search engines, in that revenue is generated from the sale of advertising space on pages used to display results when a user performs a search. GoodSearch differs from the typical search engine, however, by allowing not-for-profit organizations to share that revenue: 50% of revenue generated by supporters of a particular organization using GoodSearch goes to the organization in a yearly distribution of profits.
Supporting Phi Sigma Pi by Using GoodSearch
Help Phi Sigma Pi earn money, just by surfing the Internet. Browse to http://www.goodsearch.com, and enter "Phi Sigma Pi" in the box entitled "who do you goodsearch for?" to get started. Confirm Phi Sigma Pi as your charity of choice, and then use GoodSearch as you would any other Internet search engine. For every search performed, Phi Sigma Pi earns about one penny.
