Janine Garrett (born 9 Novemeber 1985) is an Alumna Member of Eta Chapter (Η839) at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Janine began attending IUP in September 2003. To appease a friend, she attended Phi Sigma Pi rush events the following Spring. She met dozens of energetic Phi Sigma Pi brothers and fell in love with the organization.

Collegiate Years at Eta Chapter

Positions Held:

  • Public Relations Chair: Fall 2004-Spring 2005
  • Initiate Advisor: Fall 2005-Spring 2006
  • Chapter Historian: Fall 2006-Spring 2007

Through her roles at Eta Chapter, Janine created and organized many events; her favorite of which was a biannual Scotch Doubles Bowling Big/Little Event.

Janine also won several formal awards at Eta Chapter. These included 4 "Kelly Lang Biggest Flirt Awards," Most Dedicated Brother, Most Enthusiastic Brother, Dynamic Duo Award (along with Audrey Lilley), and 4 Top Attendance Awards.

Janine has been an Alumna of Eta Chapter since her graduation in May 2007. She currently works as a junior olympic volleyball coach; middle school and high school volleyball coach; and substitue math teacher in the Quaker Valley School District. She resides with her family in New Wilmington, Pa.

Janine is very interested in sports. Last summer she participated in 4 different softball leagues and played in 3 volleyball tournaments. Currently, she is a member of a competitive bowling team. She plans to play on an Ohio Valley Region volleyball team this spring. In addition, she plans to coach middle school and junior olympic volleyball.
