Early Fraternity Life and Career

Jared joined Phi Sigma Pi in Fall 2004, during his sophomore year at Truman. He served as secretary of his initiate class, Rho class. Jared served as chair of the Alumni Committee in the spring and fall of 2005 and as Rush Advisor (previously called Initiate Advisor in Charge of Rush) in the spring and fall semesters of 2006.

Collegiate Years at Sample Chapter

As alumni committee chair, Jared helped plan Beta Chapter's Second Annual Alumni Weekend in Spring 2005. The alumni committee also published the second edition of Beta Chapter's Alumni Newsletter, The Pirateer, in Fall 2005. The following year as Rush Advisor, Jared and the rush committee coordinated the rushes for Upsilon class in Spring 2006 and Phi class in Fall 2006. In the Spring 2007 semester, he was a member of the Special Events Committee. He also chaired an ad-hoc committee which developed a new rush video for the chapter in Spring 2006, and worked on several amendments which are now part of Beta Chapter's bylaws and operating policies. Jared went alum at the end of the Spring 2007 semester and graduated from Truman in December 2007. He is now a math teacher (not his major) at New Haven High School in New Haven, MO. In college, Jared enjoyed hanging out with his PSP brothers, watching TV, road trips, and still enjoys all those things despite being a grown-up now.
