Early Fraternity Life and Career

I began my journey at NMSU in 2000. I learned of Phi Sigma Pi: Delta Iota by receiving a letter in the mail that would change my life and friends(brothers) forever. The letter stated that I had been selected to rush for a honors fraternity and to meet with all initiates at NMSU. I decided to take a chance and see what it was all about. There I met the best 13 brothers to be initiated as a class and become life long friends. I also became close with what would be the present and next in line as president (Beth and Luke). I started off as initiate advisor for E-board and began recruiting immediately which would then turn into 2 elections as president. When I was first initiated there were 4 members of Phi Sigma Pi and continued to grow it over the years. The brotherhood is something that was one of my greatest achievements in college!

Collegiate Years at Delta Iota Chapter

My collegiate years were *busy*. I spent most of my time working on Phi Sigma Pi and cordinating with Nationals to ensure everything was going as needed. I was also a member of AITP from the business college. I worked, attended two organizations and took a full load of classes. Ask me how I did it; who knows? I spent a lot of time ensuring the success and legacy for Phi Sigma Pi. It looks like the success has continued! I am very happy to know that it is holding strong!

Alumni Years to Present

I graduated from NMSU in December of 2004 from the business college with a minor in Management and bachelors in Business Computer Systems. Let's just say that I did a lot of programming and my books/computer were my best friends besides Phi Sigma Pi. With my degree, I left to pursue a career in the Reastaurant Industray as an Online Ordering Administrator in Dallas. I know manage a team and system that will generate 60 Million dollars in sales this year alone. I am a busy guy and addicted to my "crackberry (i.e. balckberry). Got to love corporate america. Now I look forward to becoming E-Board with Alexander for Alumni to continue my venture with PSP.

National Involvement

Never had the chance to attend National Convention but attended a few WICKEDS. My goal is to attend WICKED this year if Delta Iota can get me some dates etc.

Bigs and Littles

  • My Big is Beth Johnson, Alumnus
  • My Little is Andrew, Alumnus
  • My Little is Erica, Alumnus
  • My Little is Cheryl, Alumnus
  • My Grand Little is Tim

Other Interesting Facts

  • I have a identical twin brother John Roybal who joined our fraternity a couple semesters after I had become a member. Meetings and gatherings were often at my house and everyone would see him, so it was inevitable. He became Lorena Martinez's little! YAY!
  • I workout all the time! I am addicted to the gym! I workout all over the Dallas MetroPlex.
  • I am in search of Phi Sigma Pi Alumni/brothers in the Dallas area. I would like to build the brotherhood in Dallas.
