Lauren Millerd (born 16 April 1987) is an Active Member of Beta Pi Chapter (ΒΠ 410) at the University of Connecticut.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Beginning in Fall of 2005, Lauren decided to go to UConn because it was close to her home, as well as being a good school. Campus activities have included Classics Club, AQUA (Allies and Queers Undergraduate Association), QUAD (Queers United Against Discrimination), Bacchus and Gamma (Peer Education for Alcohol Awareness), ExpLORE (career preparation program), various Community Outreach activities, and LAST but definitely not least, joining the Beta Pi chapter of Phi Sigma Pi, as a member of the Alpha Alpha class in Fall of 2007.

Currently, Lauren is an American Red Cross certified Waterfront Lifeguarding Instructor and Water Safety Instructor. This summer, she was one of two Head Lifeguards at her town beach in Columbia, CT. She was in charge of constructing/implementing swim lessons.

Lauren works on campus at the infirmary in Medical Records as well as the Student Recreational Facility (SRF) as a Red Cross instructor for Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED, and other courses.
