Early Fraternity Life and Career
Lexie graduated from Girls Preparatory School in Chattanooga, Tennessee in the May of 2006. Throughout her high school career, Lexie was involved in many clubs such as: Parabates, Teen Perspectives, Youth Education and Support Team, served as a Class Community Service Representative and was a competitive cheerleader.
After graduation, she began her collegiate career at the University of South Carolina in the Fall of 2006. After learning about Phi Sigma Pi through the mail, she attended Rush at the insistence of her mother. After getting to know the Brothers and learning what Phi Sigma Pi was all about, Lexie decided that she wanted to stick around. Lexie was pinned as an Initiate in the Alpha Eta class in February of 2007 and she was inducted into the Alpha Upsilon Chapter as a freshman at USC in April of 2007. Realizing her undeniable love for the Fraternity, she served on the Alumni Committee in the Fall of 2007.
Collegiate Years at Alpha Upsilon Chapter
In the Spring of 2008, Lexie was appointed as the Alumni Committee Chair where she served until the Spring of 2009. Because of her undeniable love for the Fraternity, she decided to get more involved by regularly attending Executive Board meetings. Wanting to contribute as much as possible, Lexie ran for President of the Alpha Upsilon Chapter in the Spring of 2009. In April, Lexie was elected as the President of the Chapter and quickly began working to improve areas of weakness in the Chapter.
She attended the 2009 National Convention and Grand Chapter in Lousville, Kentucky, which provided incredible insight and ideas that were implemented throughout the 2009-2010 school year. In the Fall semester of 2009, Lexie was awarded the Chapter's Leadership Award, as well as the Colby Cup, which is awarded to the Chapter's Most Outstanding Brother.
To give back to the Fraternity, Lexie applied to be an Alternative Break Project Member. She was accepted and attended ABP in Atlanta, Georgia where she worked alongside other Brothers to build sustainable box gardens for Heritage Elementary School. Lexie continued to serve as the President of the Alpha Upsilon Chapter until April of 2010, when she became an Alumni Member. She again was awarded the Chapter's Leadership Award in the Spring of 2010.
