Loren Appolonia (born on October 6, 1991) is an alumnus of the Beta Eta Chapter (BH) of Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.

Early Fraternity Life and Career
Loren initiated in Spring 2012 as a member of the Alpha Xi (AΞ) Class of the Beta Eta Chapter. She served as the class' Secretary and Service Chair. Alpha Xi was recognized that summer at the 2012 National Convention in Orlando, Florida for raising nearly $1000 for a local child with Rett's Syndrome who had been hospitalized due to her condition. Loren was awarded the Initiate Tripod Award, which recognizes an initiate who embraces scholarship, leadership and fellowship.
Once she became a Brother, Loren became the Service Chair for the Fall 2012 semester. Her ultimate goal for the semester was to get Phi Sigma Pi's name out into the community by reaching out to different groups of people including veterans, children, the elderly, and those affected by Hurricane Sandy. One of Loren's favorite services was volunteering to clean up the Susquehanna River with her Brothers and many other community members.
At the end of the semester, Loren received two awards. The Alpha Omicron initiating class bestowed upon her the Outstanding Brother Award. Loren also received the Brother Tripod Award, which is given to a Brother who best embodies Phi Sigma Pi's three tripod ideals: scholarship, leadership, and fellowship.
Loren served as the Philanthropy Chair during the Spring 2013 semester with specific focus on the fraternity's national philanthropy, Teach For America. She and the Brothers of Beta Eta hosted the Spike Out Inequality! Volleyball Tournament on March 8th to raise money for the local school district. Together, Beta Eta raised nearly $500 for the district with intentions of using the money to donate books to classrooms. Loren also took on the role of Parliamentarian during the spring semester and helped to revise the Chapter bylaws.
For the 2013 - 2014 academic year, Loren served as the Executive Secretary of Beta Eta. During her term in office, Loren received the Brother Tripod award during the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters. Loren was also the recipient of the Most Outstanding Brother Award, which was given to her by the Alpha Rho class.

Alumni Years to Present
In May 2014, Loren graduated Summa Cum Laude with Honors and Distinction from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. She was hired to teach seventh grade Language Arts in Central Pennsylvania. She currently resides with her fiancé, Ryan Collins, and continues to visit Beta Eta whenever possible.
National Involvement
Bigs and Littles
Loren is a member of the Beta Eta Chapter Red Dog Family. Her Big is Mariah Easton and, in the Fall of 2012, Loren happily took Alicia Witt as her Little. In the Fall of 2013, Loren took her second Little, Rachel Marra. During the Fall 2014 semester, Loren became a Grand-Big to Michelle Otte and Jacob Leighlitner.
