Michelle Adams (Smiley) (born January 31 1990) is an Alumna of Gamma Zeta Chapter (Chapter roll Gamma Zeta 325) at [www.wcu.edu Western Carolina University].

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Michelle decided to attend Western Carolina University after graduating from Currituck County High School, 9 hours away on the Outerbanks in Currituck North Carolina. After making the big move to the mountains she adjusted to college life away from home and decided to join a student organization during her Sophomore year. Initially she was not interested in joining a Fraternity or Sorority, believing them to be organizations without positive values, until a friend dragged her to an Info Night in Spring of 2010 to learn about the Gamma Zeta Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi. Apprehensive at first she went to rush to learn more about the Fraternity and its tripod before deciding to pledge in the Alpha Delta Class. During her pledge period she was chair of the class project committee which chose that year to paint two benches for the Fraternity in the Greek section of the E.J. Whitmire Stadium at WCU. She was inducted in April of 2010.

Collegiate Years with Gamma Zeta

During her time as an Active Brother in the Fraternity, Michelle remained involved as a committee chair or officer each semester. Some of the leadership roles she served in were the the Initiation Committee Head during the Fall 2010 semester, Co-Scholarship chair in the Spring 2011 Semester, Parliamentarian in the Fall 2011 semester and she also served as the Grand Chapter Delegate in summer of 2011.

She also continued her family line during her time as an Active Brother and is the Big of Tamara Davis, Grand-Big of Abigal Smith, and Great-Grand Big of Holly Vogler.

Alumni Years to Present

Since Graduating from WCU in May of 2012, Michelle got married in June. She also attained her teaching license for Secondary history education.
