Alpha Chapter is receiving funding from the university to go to Convention after hearing about the idea at Convention.  During Grand Chapter this past summer many chapters shared that their universities provide funding to send students to various conferences to represent their schools.  Does your university?  If you haven't asked yet this is a great way to receive funding.  Check with your Student Government and also Office of Student Affairs to see if any similar funding programs exist.

Some universities offer funding programs to help offset costs of sending students to conferences as a representative of the university.  These programs are offered under various offices depending on the school.  Start with your Student Government or Office of Student Affairs.  If they do not offer funding they may be able to help you find out if your school does offer funding. Typically the conferences need to be educational in nature. Contact your region consultant if you need help providing documentation about the benefits of National Convention.
