Rachel Plate (born 14 July 1987) is an inactive member of Epsilon Delta Chapter (ΕΔ 155) at the University of South Florida.

Early Fraternity Life

Rachel enrolled in USF during the Summer of 2005, after graduation from Wesley Chapel High School in Wesley Chapel, Florida. She was looking for a way to positively impact her community and school when she received a flyer about Phi Sigma Pi. After attending an Information Session, she decided to join the organization. She was one of only 4 Initiates to make it into the Zeta class of the Epsilon Delta Chapter.

Collegiate Years at Epsilon Delta Chapter

Rachel served in several positions throughout her years as a Brother. During her first semester as a Brother she held both the position of Service Chair and that of Fundraising Chair. As service chair she continued the chapters support of Joshua House, a shelter for abandoned and abused children. As the Fundraising Chair she further developed Epsilon Delta's award winning fundraising opportunity - Bucs Games.

During her Sophomore year, Rachel took on the role of Initiate Adviser. She held a successful Initiation period, as well as Initiate Retreat, and inducted the Theta class into the Epsilon Delta Chapter. That same year she also took on the role of Teach For America Chair, a position started by Marissa Zwald, and raised awareness of the organizations goals and achievements throughout her campus and community.

Her Junior year Rachel held the position of Rush Adviser and held the annual "Field Day" event during Rush, adding a slip-n-slide to the days activities.

Throughout her years as a Brother, Rachel has also been a part of several temporary committees, including Relay for Life and Homecoming. She has been an active participant in the planning of the Formal events as well.

Rachel has received several awards within the Epsilon Delta chapter, including "Best Initiate", "Most likely to Second a Motion", and "Most Outgoing".

Bigs and Littles

Rachel was originally a part of the M&M family, with her Big being Meghan Beach. But she later went through the Big/Little Ceremony with Jessica Maloney to join the Outburst Family. Her Littles include Sara Bauer and Moe Khawaja. Her family line is one of the longest within the chapter. An outline of her family tree is as follows:
