Early Fraternity Life and Career
Sam was in his freshman year, second semester, and he got the e-mail inviting me to the Rush information meeting. He had no intention of going then he got into a fight with his roommate and decided that to get away from him he would go to the info meeting. Sam went and saw a few people that he knew and they begged him to come back, so Sam went back the next night and the night after that. When Sam got his bid he pledged with the Pi class in spring of 2008. Sam served at initiate class Awards and Scholarship Chair.
Collegiate Years at Alpha Chapter
During Sam’s time in Phi Sigma Pi he has been Regional Delegate (Fall 2008-Spring 2009), Vice President (Fall 2009-Spring 2010), Initiate Advisor (Fall 2010-Spring 2011), Alumni Relations Chair (Fall 2010), Homecoming Candidate (Fall 2010), and finally President (Fall 2011-Present). A lot of people will say that Sam is crazy for being so involved and that he might take too much on his plate but he doesn’t care, he likes to stay busy. Sam has attended Grand Chapter three times now and has served as delegate at two of them. During his time in Phi Sigma Pi Sam has shown great enthusiasm towards the fraternity.
