Alexander M. Arn, (born 09 August 1983), is an Alumnus of Delta Iota Chapter at New Mexico State University.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Alexander attended New Mexico State University upon graduation from high school in El Paso, Texas, beginning in the Fall of 2001. He was in campus housing when he met Lorena Martinez and Ben Stevenson, both employees of Residence Life and brothers in Delta Iota Chapter. Not being interested in Phi Sigma Pi at first, Alexander decided to explore the non-social fraternities starting with the Business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. After not liking what he heard from their informational meeting, Alexander was still searching. By chance the next day, Alexander ran into Ben at one of the Rush tabling events. They began to talk and Alexander decided that Phi Sigma Pi was exactly what he was looking for and rushed Delta Iota. After a successful Initiation semester as Iota Initiate Class President, he was inducted into Delta Iota Chapter in the Spring of 2005.

Collegiate Years at Delta Iota

In his first Active semester at Delta Iota, in the Fall of 2005, Alexander became the Recording Secretary and Technical Committee Chair. Unfortunately at this point, he was in his last remaining year at the University and so only had 2 active semesters as a brother. The year was full of ups and downs as he grew close to the brothers and then had to endure with the chapter, a Spring semester that saw no new members inducted and much inner turmoil. The chapter commonly refers to it as "The Dark Times". Due to Delta Iota's isolation from other chapters (the closest at the time being in Texas State, approximately 10 hours away), Alexander did not have much interaction with other chapters outside of WICKED, the Southwest Region's Annual Conference, and thus did not have much PSP involvement outside of Delta Iota.

Alumni Years to Present

Upon graduating from New Mexico State University in Spring 2006, Alexander found employment in Los Alamos, NM at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and subsequently relocated. After working for a year, he began his MBA in Los Alamos. After attending WICKED 2008 in Santa Fe, NM, Alexander became actively involved as an Alumni and was subsequently elected Alumni Advisor of Delta Iota Chapter. He attended his first National Convention this past summer in Nashville, TN and was finally able to see what brotherhood was like on a national level. He now plans to attend as many regional/national events as he possibly can. Alexander is also actively involved in advising and helping the colony at the University of New Mexico become a full-fledged chapter.

National Involvement

Alexander's Active involvement Nationally began in 2008, with his attendance at the National Convention.

Bigs and Littles

Alexander's Big Brother is Phillip McNamara, who is now an Alumnus residing in Peoria, Arizona.

Alexander has two Little Brothers:
