Brian enrolled at Clemson in Fall 1996 after graduating from Wren High School in Piedmont, SC. He was recruited to join Phi Sigma Pi within minutes of stepping on campus by his dorm RA and BK's Initiate Advisor, [[Austin Dantzler]], and Austin's future wife [[Dawn Sarnowski]]. T. Brian Bunton (born 3 April 1979) is an Alumnus of Beta Kappa Chapter (BK 299) at Clemson University and Honorary Brother of the Zeta Xi Chapter (ΖΞ 183) at Coastal Carolina University. He served as Vice President of Chapter Development in the 50th Empowered Council.

Early Fraternity Life and Career

Brian enrolled at Clemson in Fall 1996 after graduating from Wren High School in Piedmont, SC. He was recruited to join Phi Sigma Pi within minutes of stepping on campus by his dorm RA and BK's Initiate Advisor, Austin Dantzler, and Austin's future wife Dawn Sarnowski. He was a member of the Zeta Class, at the time the largest BK class ever.

Collegiate Years at Beta Kappa Chapter

Days after Induction, Brian attended the 1997 Grand Chapter Conference with several other Brothers. The next year, he was the Chapter's Webmaster as well as the Chapter's Delegate to the 1998 Grand Chapter Conference. Brian served as Beta Kappa's Secretary in the 1998-1999 academic year. Brian helped create the popular Rate Your Professor web site, hosted by the Chapter. Brian was roommates with several BK Brothers: John Hausman, Matthew Nicoletta, Louis Damanti, and Paola Alboni.

Brian received his degree in 2007 and is currently the Chair of the Department of Physics and Engineering Science at Coastal Carolina University, where he was Zeta Xi Chapter Adviser from 2011 to 2014 and is an Honorary Brother. In 2013, he became a member of the National Alumni Association and the Phi Sigma Pi Foundation. Brian was elected Vice President of Chapter Development at the 2014 National Convention. In 2015, Brian was awarded Beta Kappa's Chapter Service Key. Brian was also awarded Zeta Xi's Chapter Service Key at their Founders Day Dinner in 2017.
