Gamma Pi Chapter Families

Gamma Pi has had numerous families of Bigs and Littles throughout its history. Initially, families were identified by who the current matriarch/patriarch happened to be. Over time, various families developed formal names to replace the fluctuating naming system. This convention started with the Stanley Hanley Family and slowly spread to the other families in the Chapter. While all of the active family lines in Gamma Pi have formal names, there are many lines that never adopted one. Some of those lines went extinct before the concept of formal family names became popular, while others simply never adopted one.
